He wrote her a letter, after she announced that she will be divorced. An unknown now invested the enormous sum at auction in Beverly Hills. A further letter from Monroe to her third husband Arthur Miller was auctioned for 43.750 dollars.
The baseball player Joe DiMaggio was an icon of his sport in the 1940s and 1950s, in 1952 he met date at a blind Marilyn. Almost two years later the two married even, married life, however, was a constant ups and downs. Monroe filed for divorce after less than a year.
