Miley Cyrus shoots down rumors that wedding with Liam Hemsworth is called off, briefly quits Twitter

Cyrus squased rumors about calling off the wedding with Hemsworth, although a source said, 'Miley and Liam have had some problems.'

The 20-year-old singer lashed out on Twitter about speculation she wasn't planning to go through with her upcoming nuptials to Hemsworth, 23, instead vowing to quit social media.

“I am so sick of La. And sick of the lies that come with it,” she tweeted Wednesday. . “I didn’t call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media. #draining.”
According to what a source close to the “Party in the U.S.A.” singer told People, “The wedding is still on.”

“Miley and Liam have had some problems that they are working through,” the source added.
But it’s not all roses for the couple, whose relationship supposedly hit a few bumps in the road when reports recently surfaced of Hemsworth getting close with actress January Jones at a pre-Oscar party.

"Right in the middle of the party, January was clinging to Liam, saying, 'You're so handsome,'" a guest allegedly told Life and Style magazine.
“Miley doesn’t think it’s a big deal," the source close to Cyrus told People. "She loves Liam and can’t wait to marry him.”

The couple was caught in the rumor mill earlier this year when reports indicated they were possibly already married after Cyrus said, “I’m so happy I’m married,” in an interview with Cosmopolitan.
Hemsworth’s rep quickly responded to People indicating they were “definitely NOT married.”
The young lovers have been spotted recently, just not together. Hemsworth went Down Under to visit his Aussie family while Cyrus was spotted at New York’s Fashion Week and attended pre-Grammy and post-Academy Award parties.
Her short-lived breakup from social media ended Thursday when she tweeted: "not discussing anything but my music from now on. My new music is gonna shut everyone up."
